Tempest Launches September 22 on Steam

A game about piracy. No, not that kind of piracy.

Russian developer and publisher HeroCraft announced today that Tempest, their open world pirate RPG, will be launching on PC via Steam on September 22. This will be the final release of the game- no more Early Access (or the like) shenanigans!

Tempest promises to be a new pirate game – a genre that has historically been underpopulated (I would argue that Sid Meier’s Pirates and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag are the only worthwhile major pirate games that were released in the last decade and a half, or so), which means that its importance is elevated simply by definition, if nothing else.

You can check out the new trailer for the game, showcasing a whole lot of gameplay for the title, for yourself below. Tempest will launch exclusively on PC via Steam on September 22. Let us hope that it eventually gets a release on consoles too, so more players get to play it.
