Motion controls
I always think of the Wii as I think of that creepy guy in every neighbourhood who lures children into his home with sweets. Nintendo lowered my guard with hardcore titles like Zelda and Red Steel gracing the systems launch line-up, only for it to be nothing more than a lie amidst a mockery of shovelware. This lack of quality was introduced on account of the motion control bandwagon that Nintendo have set in motion. Whilst it has definitely broadened the mass appeal of gaming, a lot of the individual titles launched with motion controls in mind have been wildly flawed and disappointing. Now that Sony and Microsoft have also (and with mixed results) joined the fray, we're definitely not out of the woods yet.
