The Nintendo 3DS
Do you know what the really sad part is about this entry? I am actually rather fond of the 3DS as a piece of hardware. It has great potential indeed, but Nintendo have succeeded in bending early adopters of the system right over in a merciless fashion. I bought the system within a few weeks of its launch having seen the list of core games it was set to receive, mixing awesome new franchise reboots with remakes of some of my favourite Nintendo titles. What I didn't realise was that Nintendo intended to pad out the first nine months of the consoles life with remakes of old games while they got their shit in gear. I expected them to stick to their word on making the eShop better than the crappy Wii online service, but then I see them charging £5 for a standard Gameboy title. I don't care how much I loved Link's Awakening, there's no way I'm paying that much for a port of a game I owned over 15 years ago. And now they're going back on their promise of no new hardware revisions and have added a second analogue nub that makes the 3DS look like Frankenstein's monster. Then there's the price drop! Thanks for nothing Nintendo; bunch of dicks. Rant over.
