Tetris Forever

Digital Eclipse’s Tetris Forever is out now for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It’s a compilation of 15 Tetris titles from the original 1984 version (recreated like it’s running on an Elektronika 60) to entries like Super Bombliss and Tetris Battle Gaiden, now playable outside of Japan. Check out the launch trailer below and the game list here.

There’s also a brand new title, Tetris Time Warp. Players clear lines like in regular Tetris until a special Tetrinimo appears, which can send the game into a different “era” on clearing. You must then clear an objective before returning to the “present.” Tetris Time Warp also supports up to four players, who can send each other into various eras, preventing them from attacking.

Those interested in learning more about the series, including the “true story” of how the first game came to be, can also watch Area 5’s documentary featurettes. There are also promotional materials and ads for different titles, with everything presented in a helpful chronological format.
