Neon Giant’s cyberpunk action RPG The Ascent was easily one of the standout indie hits of 2021, and in the months since it launched for Xbox consoles and PC, it’s been receiving regular updates with fixes, additions, and more. Of course, those on other platforms have been eyeing the game with some curiosity- and it seems like it might soon launch for additional platforms as well.

As spotted by Gematsu on Twitter, The Ascent was recently rated for the PS5 and PS4 by the ESRB. A PlayStation version of the game hasn’t been officially announced, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. Certifications are usually handed to games relatively close to launch, so it’s possible that we might get official confirmation of the game coming to PlayStation consoles soon.

A little over a month ago, The Ascent was rated for the PS5 and PS4 in Taiwan as well, while the developer has also previously said that it is “aware of the demand for a PS5 version.” It wouldn’t be surprising to see an official announcement being made on that front soon.

Currently, The Ascent is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
