The Ascent

We didn’t exactly see a lot of gameplay in the recent Xbox Series X gameplay showcase – something that Microsoft have acknowledged the issue with – but we did see plenty of reveals for completely new games that will be coming to the console. One of these was The Ascentan isometric sci-fi action RPG, and thanks to IGN, we now have 12 new minutes of gameplay footage of it to look at.

Right off the bat, it has to be said that visually, the game looks very impressive, from the detail in the environments, to the lighting, to the particle effects, and more. We also get to see plenty of combat, which is looking busy and dynamic. Suffice it to say, the game looks pretty good in these eleven minutes. Seeing as this is pre-alpha footage, one would hope that the final product looks even better. Take a look at it below.

The Ascent will release for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
