Among the many new games that were revealed on yesterday’s Inside Xbox was The Ascent from Neon Giant. Set on a futuristic planet called Veles with cyberpunk influences, it’s an action RPG that will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC this year. Check out the trailer below.
The story focuses on The Ascent Group, an all-powerful mega-corporation that owns everything (including the player character). However, something happens to the group when the game starts, causing the world to plunge into chaos. You’ve been tasked to find out what happened, battling rival factions and other foes along the way.
Along with customization, players will find loot from enemies to augment their firepower. Though local and online co-op is supported for up to four players, you can also experience the story as a solo experience. You’ll explore a wide range of locations from slums to “luxury sphere” in pursuit of the truth. Stay tuned for more details on The Ascent as the months roll on.
