Super Mario 3D World was always secretly one of the best Mario games of all time, and with its Switch re-release, it proved that to the world once again. Like so many other Wii U games before it, it brought an excellent game to a larger audience, and reaped the rewards. What made it stand out so much was the fact that it also came with a whole another, entirely new 3D Mario adventure. Bowser’s Fury is shorter than a full-fledged new game, but it’s packed full of excellent content and brimming with the sort of delightful creativity, relentless variety, and genre-defining level design that this series has always been known for. With two outstanding games in a single package, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is unmissable for anyone with a Switch.
