Ubisoft’s The Crew 2 looks to be primed to make good on the broken promises of the original open world racing game (although admittedly, Ubisoft did already achieve that with Wild Run, the full fledged expansion for it that they released a year after). This means we are already more excited for the game than we would be otherwise.
Now, motorbike enthusiasts have another reason to be pumped for the racer. Ubisoft announced today that Harley Davidson’s iconic and beloved motorbikes will be appearing in the game, with the Iron 883 confirmed as the first of these that will be added to the game.
“We are thrilled to partner with Harley-Davidson in The Crew 2,” said Ivory Tower Studio Managing Director Ahmed Boukhelifa. “Harley-Davidson is a legendary, global brand, deeply rooted in American culture. The partnership was a natural fit as Harley-Davidson represents the same thirst for unrestrained exploration and the American passion for all things motorized that has inspired our vision for The Crew 2.”
Given just how revered Harley Davidson bikes are among enthusiasts, this news will definitely put The Crew 2 on the radar of many. Hopefully, Ubisoft leverages this opportunity and delivers a better product this time around from the get go- The Crew could be something great, but it needs to be properly cultivated. The Crew 2 will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018.
