Several images of a project currently in development at Ubisoft titled Project Orlando have cropped up, and have been shared by Reddit user RacingGameGuru0300. According to the Reddit user, these files have been present in The Crew 2 for a while now.

The Crew: Orlando was seemingly supposed to be a DLC for The Crew 2, but seems to now have taken the shape of an entirely new game in the franchise. This is according to notable industry insider Tom Henderson, who took to Twitter to share his insights on the matter. Henderson also says that the game is currently in pre-alpha and that no release dates are known to him as of yet. In a seperate Tweet, he mentions that the game could be a reboot of sorts as Ubisoft wasn’t all that happy about The Crew 2.

Interestingly enough, the aforementioned Reddit dataminer suggests that the game is set in Hawaii, which seems a little weird for a game called “Orlando”- so it’s hard to be sure about which details to believe. The Reddit post also states that there will be a battle royale-style mode in the game as well.

Of course, this all just early speculation and rumors, so best to take it all with a pinch of salt for now. We’ll let you know if there are any more updates though, so stay tuned.
