The Dark Pictures Anthology - Directive 8020

Supermassive Games currently has its hands full with the upcoming duo of The Casting of Frank Stone and Little Nightmares 3, but that isn’t the only game the studio has in the works. After wrapping up the first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology with The Devil in Me a couple of years ago, the studio offered brief glimpses of the series’ next game, Directive 8020, which seems to be approaching its official reveal.

Taking to Twitter, Supermassive Games recently tweeted out a picture of a planet with the text “we hear Gamescom will be out of this world” accompanying the picture. Though no game’s name is explicitly mentioned, it was previously confirmed that Directive 8020 will feature a sci-fi setting. The game is set aboard the ship Cassiopeia, which runs into mysterious troubles en route to the planet of Tau Ceti f.

Gamescom is scheduled to take place in Cologne, Germany from August 21 to August 25, so we’ll be learning more soon about what to expect from the sci-fi horror title. Stay tuned for more updates.
