The Dark Pictures- Man of Medan 6

Supermassive Games are best known for their PS4 horror adventure game Until Dawn, as well as their work with Sony since then. However their next project is The Dark Pictures, an anthology of horror games that will come not just to PS4, but also to PC and Xbox One.

The newest video for this project is actually a developer diary for Man of Medan, the first entry in this anthology. We get to see a whole lot of gameplay footage here, but we also get to see the developers discuss the sound design in the game, and how they had to ensure that it struck the right atmosphere. They also talk about the various camera techniques and graphical tricks used to disorient the player and emphasize the creepiness of the game further.

You can check out the developer diary for yourself below. The project has certainly caught my eye, and I think for horror game fans, this will be something worth keeping an eye on. Man of Medan launches in 2019. If your interest is piqued, make sure to check out the game’s Halloween trailer too.
