The Division Gets 10 Minutes of New Gameplay Footage

The downgrade!

Posted By | On 18th, Jun. 2015

We saw more of The Division, Ubisoft’s post apocalyptic survival action MMO, at E3 this year, where, true to form, it looked a fair bit worse than it did at its sparkling debut a couple of years ago. At this point, I want to think that most people expect Ubisoft games to suffer major graphical downgrades from their initial E3 reveals, so I will hope there won’t be any complaints of that. Instead, I hope we can spend this article looking at the newest 10 minute long gameplay video of the game, which makes it clear that, while the graphics and visual quality may have taken a hit, the mechanics and gameplay still show the same promise they did back at the game’s debut.

The Division is powered by Ubisoft’s Snowdrop Engine, and without any Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii U versions to hold it back, really seems to look truly next gen, in spite of the degradation in visual quality that it has suffered. So far, the gameplay seems to be truly next gen too, judging by this video- lets hope it stays that way.
