Bethesda has released a new video from The Elder Scrolls Online which shows how the game works in general. It’s a new MMO created on Zenimax’s proprietary engine and features some new gameplay. The video is 10 minutes long and features a lot of new info.

The team wanted to create strategic real time combat, and wanted to create a lot of world immersion and landscape that rewarded exploration, explained Paul Sage, the creative director. It is set 1000 years before Skyrim.

You can explore all of Tamriel, you can explore new places you have never met. All our characters are designed so 100s of them can be on the screen at one time, you can find lot of armors in customization options.

They have a technology called mega server, where all the players are on one server. The game figures out where to put them.

“Check out our first video of The Elder Scrolls Online—a documentary-style introduction to the game, presented by members of The Elder Scrolls Online Development Team,” wrote bethesda.

“This video covers the basics of ESO, including a first look at the game’s Elder Scrolls-style combat system, massive PvP battles, Megaserver technology, exploration-based content, and much more.”
