Among the many games hopping aboard the Xbox One X support bandwagon is ZeniMax Online Studios’ The Elder Scrolls Online. As per a recent tweet from the game’s official Twitter, Xbox One X support will be added with update 16 which is out later this year.
It should be noted that the update will coincide with the release of the Clockwork City DLC. The Xbox One X update will be free though and will include other bug fixes, performance tweaks and balance changed for players.
After launching with an admittedly disastrous subscription-based service, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited would rebrand itself and offer a one-time purchase price.
Players can purchase Gems and Premium membership along with DLC packs separately but there’s plenty available in the game to play without having to worry about a subscription (the ability to explore the world freely without any level restrictions also doesn’t hurt). It’s currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
