ZeniMax Online Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online, based on Bethesda Softworks’ award winning Elder Scrolls series. Creative Director Paul Sage talks about just what you can discover if you travel off the beaten path.
Though not connected directly to any of the main games, The Elder Scrolls Online takes place a millenium The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the continent of Tamriel as several factions war against each other for the right to sit on the throne of the Emperor of Tamriel. These factions include the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant and Ebonheart Pact each with their own races and classes.
The game will feature some extensive skill trees, allowing you to customize your warrior in a multitude of ways – not to mention long story missions in place of rote grinding as your character seemingly awakens, amnesiac, and sets out to discover his/her true purpose.
The Elders Scrolls online is slated for release on PC and Mac OS X later this year.
