While Exodus hogged its fair share of attention at Gamescom Opening Night Live, Owlcat Games’ The Expanse: Osiris Reborn isn’t too far behind. During the Future Games Show showcase, it revealed a new gameplay trailer for a mission set on Ganymede. Check it out below.
Occurring somewhere in the middle of the game, it involves sneaking into a base. The Protogen are out in full force, but retrieving data from Pinkwater, where the crew’s journey began with a slaughter (depending on your choices), is paramount. You’ll work undercover with the support of different team members. For a time, everything seems to be going well.
That is, until a “third party” appears and mayhem ensues. Making the best of this situation is another core component of Osiris Reborn’s experience. Every choice can have far-reaching consequences. You may not notice them in the next hour or two, but they’re hovering in the background, potentially affecting what comes next.
Sadly, Owlcat Games has yet to reveal a release date for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. It’s out in Spring 2027 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $49.99. The real question is whether it goes head-to-head with Exodus. Either way, Mass Effect fans will be eating good, especially since the likelihood of the sequel happening anytime soon is growing dimmer by the day.
