The Game Awards 2016 Confirmed for December

Wonder what the big reveal will be this time.

The Game Awards 2014

Last year, Geoff Keighley took a big step for the games industry, when he produced and hosted the inaugural Games Awards. It was not a show without its own share of warts, but for a freshman effort, it was very impressive.

People fully expected the show to become an annual event, and indeed, Geoff Keighley has confirmed on Twitter that the Awards will be held this year too- and they will be coming some time in December (though we don’t know the exact date yet). It is possible that they line up with the PlayStation Experience again, like they did last year.

The awards last year were on the whole uncontroversial, and they even included some great new reveals, including King’s Quest, as well as the World Premier for the gameplay of the upcoming Legend of Zelda game. This year’s event should be at the very least as good- and with the Awards being a known quantity now, it might even be better.
