Sony’s The Last Guardian is one of the major releases in December and also one of the company’s most anticipated games ever (being in development for almost a decade will do that conveniently enough). To hype up the release, a new CG trailer has been released showing Trico, the Guardian in question, saving the boy from soldiers. The two then embark on adventure.

There’s not a whole lot we know about the game’s story but the mechanics rely on partnership between Trico and the boy. The boy can move aside several obstacles that would hinder Trico’s progress while Trico is capable of making large leaps and navigating the environment more easily. How will their adventure unfold and where is it leading (aside from tying into Team ICO’s other titles like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus)?

We’ll need to play The Last Guardian when it releases on December 6th to find out. Stay tuned for more information in the meantime and let us know what you think in the comments.
