The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Features Alternate Ending

"Certain criteria" needed to achieve it though.

You may not be able to decide the fate of the entire galaxy or join the Reapers but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will have two different endings included.

This was revealed by producer Eiji Aonuma while speaking to IGN Portugal (translation by NintendoLife) when he stated that completing certain conditions will provide a different ending.

“There is a certain criteria you have to fulfill to see it. Essentially, you do some specific things and you’ll see a different ending.”

It’s not like this is anything new for the Zelda franchise (those who played The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on the original Game Boy will know what we mean…and even that wasn’t overly different from the original ending).

What new twist will Breath of the Wild contain and will there be any major choices to trigger it? Commander Shepard would approve either way, we suppose.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out on March 3rd for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
