Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has already discussed how The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will feature an alternate ending that can be triggered when certain conditions are met or how the game’s story will make players cry. Now Aonuma has confirmed that Epona, the horse from The Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, will return. Which we kind of already knew from the very teaser of the game.

However, when speaking to IGN Portugal, Aonuma said, “As for Epona, she’s in Breath of the Wild, but I do not want to reveal details about how to find her, or what that means.”

Which seems fair enough. Aonuma and Nintendo have been fairly tight-lipped on a number of details including Zelda’s role, the timeline that Breath of the Wild takes place and so on. It’ll likely be that way until release.

Speaking of which, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out on March 3rd for Wii U and Nintendo Switch. What are your thoughts on Epona’s return? Let us know below.
