A new trailer is available for Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, which releases for Nintendo Switch next week. It teases how before the fall of Twilight and Link’s awakening, the story began with a legendary sword and a land in the skies. Check it out below.

Based on the 2011 Wii classic, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD serves as the first game in the entire timeline. It sees Zelda and Link living in the skies on an island called Skyloft. When Zelda is taken away by a dark entity, it’s up to Link to save her. Fi, the incarnation of the Master Sword, helps him in this task.

Along with maintaining the original game’s motion controls via the Joy Cons, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD also offers button and controller options. Various quality of life improvements like asking Fi for help, fast forwarding through dialogue and skipping cutscenes have also been implemented. You also won’t receive the same notification when collecting the same item for the umpteenth time.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD releases on July 16th for Switch. Stay tuned for more details in the coming week.
