In its latest Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be releasing for the Wii U in October 2013 for North America and Europe with a Japanese release set for September 26th 2013. Though the North America release hasn’t necessarily been narrowed down, the game is confirmed for release in Europe on October 4th.

And given how most NA releases are usually three days before EU releases, that would put the NA release for Wind Waker HD at October 1st. Nintendo has also confirmed that the sailing in the game has been made quicker, and that the Triforce quest has been tinkered with. In what way is yet to be revealed. Can we hope for a Master Quest a la the Gamecube version of Ocarina of Time? One could certainly hope.

Till then, check out the new trailer for Wind Waker HD below.
