Digital Sun’s The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, the second indie game spin-off of the popular MOBA, has received a new trailer. It’s focused on combat in the top-down action RPG, as Sylas battles through Demacia, taking on all-comers. Check it out below.

Using a pair of broken chains shackled to his wrists, Sylas can unleash Light and Heavy attacks against foes, not unlike in Digital Sun’s previous game, Moonlighter. The real difference maker is the ability to steal magic from enemies and launch it back at them. Stealing magic also helps to unlock spells for use. The other noteworthy action is using the chains to dash and grapple around.

Overall, combat looks fast-paced and should be worth jumping into when The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story launches on April 18th. It retails for $29.99 on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch, though you can also pick up the Digital Deluxe Edition for $39.99. The latter includes cosmetics, “exclusive spells,” and the Silverwing Supply Station Pack.
