An upcoming 2D platformer title known as Mighty No. 9 may hit home for some retro gamers out there. This video game resembles the hit Mega Man series which isn’t much of a surprise since the man behind the Mega Man series, Keiji Inafune, is also producing this upcoming indie release. While Mighty No. 9 doesn’t have any involvement with the Mega Man series, fans are already claiming this as the spiritual successor, most likely due to all similarities from Mega Man. Players will be taking the role of an Android named Beck who discovers all of his fellow androids and computer systems around the world has been infected with a nasty virus. Throughout the game players will have to face off different androids and learn who is behind the global virus attack and why. One thing is for sure, fans cannot wait to get their hands on Mighty No. 9. When this video game first made an appearance through Kickstarter, the pledged goal was met in just two days! When the Kickstarter was finally completed, the development team managed to receive over 400% of their initial goal request.
