Today, a new trailer for the upcoming steam punk-esque third person shooter, The Order 1886, was released by Sony. Focusing on the call to arms to protect your country, the video depicts an old radio in a police station which has most likely come under attack by all manner of nasties.

The Order 1886 was at first a very intriguing game with an interesting narrative, but since it was first shown, and then shown again more recently, there has been a lot of conflicting opinions about the game and what it’s trying to do. What we’ve seen so far mainly consists of set piece driven action sequences and the dreaded “quick time events” that has plagued modern gaming (Hold ‘X’ to pay respects).

The games’ creative director, Ru Weerasuriya, said “QTE’s for us, was a way of really delivering a different type of emotional experience to the player”. But regardless of what you may think about the game, there’s no denying that the game is beautiful to look at.
