As we’ve progressed deeper into the year, publisher Devolver Digital and developer All Possible Futures have remained insistent that The Plucky Squire is going to release in 2024, but a release date announcement has remained elusive, prompting many to question whether the action-adventure title is going to be hit with a delay. Thankfully, that won’t be the case.

Devolver and All Possible Futures have announced that The Plucky Squire will release on September 17, a little over a month from now. The action-adventure title will see players hopping to and fro between 3D and 2D gameplay sections, with protagonist Jot having the ability to jump in and out of storybooks as he adventures through a magical world on a quest to defeat the malevolent Humgrump. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of what the game will have in store.

Upon its release, The Plucky Squire will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). Devolver Digital and All Possible Futures have announced that on PS5, the game will also be available via PlayStation Plus Game Catalog at launch.
