Square Enix are really doubling down on that 2016 release date for Final Fantasy 15, aren’t they? They’ve already stressed that they are going to release the game this year, no matter what- and as if to convince the scores of people who still don’t believe it (and really, after the protracted, ten year long development cycle this game has had, who can blame them?) they keep re-emphasizing it.
Speaking to Famitsu, the game’s director Hajime Tabata said that the release date for the game will be announced in March- and that fans can expect to see the ‘real’ Final Fantasy 15 after that announcement.
“This year is the year we’ll release Final Fantasy 15,” he said. “Currently, we’ve decided on all of its specifications and the beta version is under production so we can shift into the debug phase.
“We’ll show the real 15 during the release date announcement this March.”
So what have we been seeing so far, then???
