The Showdown Effect “Movie Trailer” Trailer, Hilarious Taglines Site Launched

Let the explosions be your guide.

Paradox Interactive has released a new no-nonsense trailer for their side-scrolling actioner The Showdown Effect, called a “Movie Trailer” trailer. Let that be an indication as to the nature of the media, and a hint to what players can expect when The Showdown Effect releases on March 5th for PC.

But that’s not all. Paradox has also launched a hilarious new tag-lines site that takes the 80’s action movie inspired poster and allows you to choose random taglines to read out in the classic action movie macho voice.

“Punch Hazardous Movies”, “Launch Classic Train Simulators” and the like may not sound like a big deal, but in that voice? Pure gold.

Currently, The Showdown Effect will be entering into closed beta stage soon. Interested gamers can sign up now for a chance to take a whack at the multiplayer title’s insane tropes and homages. But remember, you have been warned – or something like that.
