The Sims 4 Premium Spotted, Promises Early Access to Content Packs

A brief ad in a recent gameplay video confirms the Premium service's existence.

Maxis finally released a new gameplay trailer for The Sims 4 to explain just why it had to leave out kids and swimming pools in this iteration but more interestingly, the video confirmed that the upcoming people management game would be receiving its own Premium service.

As Eurogamer pointed out, at 13:26 there’s an ad for The Sims 4 Premium with the description, “Become a Premium member to get early access to 3 new packs, with exclusive items. Your Sims can throw a spooky costume party, camp in the great outdoors, and toast to the new year in style.” This may be similar to Battlefield Premium, EA’s approach to Season Passes which nets you early access to all DLC packs and that too before general consumers receive them. There are also different in-game items offered, and given The Sims’ propensity for custom items and packs, it may just offer the same thing.

Maxis hasn’t indicated if this is the case but you can expect to hear some kind of confirmation on the same since The Sims 4 releases this September for PC and Mac.
