The Surge Releasing in May, New Trailer Details CREO’s Craziness

Exo-suits save the day (as usual).

Deck 13’s The Surge, a pseudo-Dark Souls action RPG set in the future, finally has a release month. It will arrive in May 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

A new CG trailer has been released which focuses on CREO, a seemingly benevolent mega-corporation that’s struck by a crisis. As Warren, you’ll have to deal with the problem which includes rogue AI with murderous intentions, robots gone nuts and employees with cranial implants that are…well, you get the drift.

Luckily, protagonist Warren has a exo-suit to help even the odds. You can even upgrade it by slicing off enemy limbs and gathering their equipment to take as your own. All of this is for the sake of stopping the Surge (yes, that’s actually where the name comes from).
