Telltale Games The Walking Dead seems to be a clear fore-runner for 2012’s coveted Game of the Year award, but it’s also quite the bargain. Even a single episode provides more gameplay and plot than most full retail games and the entire experience packages it all expertly. And if that didn’t attract you already, maybe this will: all five episodes of The Walking Dead are now on sale at the Xbox Live Marketplace for just 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Currently, Microsoft is running a promotion where you get the first episode, “A New Day” for free, but after downloading that, you can purchase each subsequent episode at 200 Microsoft Points ($2.50), adding up to the greatest deal since they started fondue.

And since the retail release has its fair share of issues, especially with the Xbox 360 version, this presents an opportunity for gamers to bypass the pains of patching and get straight to the zombies.
