The Walking Dead Season Two (2)

Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 3 is supposedly coming later this year and comic book creator Robert Kirkman had some interesting new details to share when speaking to IGN.

He first noted that the next season will be taking place closer to where the comics currently are. “Season 3 of the Telltale series is really exciting to me just because the way that the timeline works, season three will actually be getting pretty close to where we are in the comics concurrently, like the books that are coming out now are roughly in the same time frame that season three will be in. There’s a lot of really cool, really exciting things coming that I don’t think people will expect.”

It also seems that Clementine (introduced in Season 1 and the protagonist of Season 2) will be making her return, though in what shape and form is unknown. “We’ll be checking in on Clementine again, so we’ll be seeing her, seeing where she’s at and what’s going on with her, which is going to be great.”

Overall, like the recent Michonne mini-series, you can expect more tie-ins to the actual comics in the coming days. “I think, similar to the Michonne series, there will probably be some more comic book elements that will be working into things in some interesting ways. I don’t want to reveal too much, but it’ll definitely go hand in hand with the comics a little bit more than season two did.”

The Walking Dead: Season 3 is expected to arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
