The Witcher 3’s HDR Patch for PS4 Requires Some Extra Time, CD Projekt RED Says

Don’t worry, it’s still on the way.

People have been waiting for the patch for the PS4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that will add HDR to the title. The functionality has long been awaited for this version of the game, but there haven’t been very many updates regarding when it might be coming of late.

However, speaking on Twitter, CD Projekt Red’s community lead, Marcin Momot confirmed that the patch is very much in active development, but that CD Projekt RED has run into some bugs that they have to clean up—which means that the patch needs some more time in the oven before they can release it to PS4 owners.

This is kind of a bummer, since HDR is already supported by the Xbox version of the game; then again, I am sure that PS4 owners would rather have the patch done right than it done quick, right? The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
