This Is What Transparent Tiles Look Like on Xbox One

Tastefully done.

It’s a brand new year, which means it’s back to business as usual for Microsoft, who have now resumed releasing substantial updates with meaty feature additions for the Xbox One OS. The preview for the February update has already been made available to a select few users, and those users are now sharing the headlining feature of this month’s update- transparent tiles, which have been long requested so players can see their custom backgrounds better.

For those of you who were worried that transparent tiles would be a UI disaster, well, they actually seem to be very well done, and seem to create no issues. With busier backgrounds, it seems like it could get a little messy, so maybe Microsoft will include an option to control the degree of transparency in future updates.

That said, no complaints right now, and once again, I have to laud Microsoft for their responsiveness to user feedback.
