Publisher THQ Nordic has announced that it will be hosting a showcase. Dubbed the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025, the event will take place on August 1 and will be live-streamed for free through its official channels. Check out the teaser trailer announcing the showcase below.
The teaser shows off clips from a variety of different games, ranging from big-budget action titles to smaller-scaled 2D indie games. The genres for all these games also span across a wide variety, with the teaser including driving games, what appears to be a survival crafting game, a horror game, and even potentially a Souls-styled action RPG.
While the publisher hasn’t yet revealed the full list of games we can expect to see at this showcase, it has confirmed that some of its already-announced titles, including Gothic Remake, Titan Quest 2, Reanimal, The Eternal Life of Goldman, and Wreckfest 2 will be among the titles showcased at the event.
Gothic Remake is likely to be one of the flagship projects showcased at the event since it appears to be close to finishing off development. The game has been getting quite a few videos for it, including a series of Making Of videos where its developers talk about their experience in remaking a beloved cult-classic RPG.
“Our job was to find out what elements should stay exactly as they are and what elements should be expanded,” said studio director Reinhard Pollice in one of the Making Of videos from back in April. Pollice also spoke about narrative refinements being made in the remake to help patch up inconsistencies, plot holes, and contradictions.
Another Making Of video from back in February featured the developers talking about the “essence” of the seminal RPG. “What was amazing to me the first time that I played Gothic was how you could solve a lot of situations by taking advantage of everyone,” said technical artist Roger Llovera. “Everyone would take advantage of you, of course, but then you have chances where you can take advantage of a character killing a Scavenger for you.”
Titan Quest 2 – an action RPG that was first announced all the way back in 2023, will also be getting a showcase. The original Titan Quest was developed by a team that would go on to found Crate Entertainment and release Grim Dawn. The action RPG featured a unique skill and class system where players had the freedom to choose between two bespoke skill trees that would then make up their class.
The story of the original Titan Quest was a world-spanning one involving ancient Greek, ancient Egyptian, and ancient Chinese mythologies. The game also got an expansion that brought with it the Greek Underworld, where players had to take on Hades, as well as another expansion – Ragnarok – with the player facing off against Gods and other creatures from Norse mythology.
Another expansion – Eternal Embers – brought along even more content to the title in the form of an Act 6.
