We just got done with a week of summer events and showcases (with a Nintendo Direct still left in the pipeline), which means the next big event the industry is going to be looking forward is Gamescom in August. And though Gamescom is, of course, still over a couple of months away, details on what it’ll bring are filtering through nonetheless.
For instance, THQ Nordic has unveiled its plans for the event. The company has confirmed that it will be bringing five games to Gamescom, of which two are currently unannounced. One of those has a one-word title with six letters, while the other has a five word title with 23 letters. The other three games will be Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, Titan Quest 2, and Gothic Remake. All five games will be playable at THQ Nordic’s booth.
A THQ Nordic Digital Showcase is also set for August 2, which is where the company says it will be announcing those two unannounced titles. Gamescom, meanwhile, is set for August 21-25.
This year’s Gamescom won’t be attended by Nintendo, though Ubisoft has confirmed it will be present. Leaks have claimed that Microsoft will also have first-party announcements to make.
