The next few weeks are obviously bringing a flurry of major showcases and events from several companies, but as is the case every year, there’s going to be plenty to look forward to beyond the annual summer events as well. August, for instance, will bring Gamescom, and though more details will emerge on the event as we get closer to it, some information on its attendants is already filtering through.

For instance, Ubisoft has confirmed that it’ll be attending Gamescom, which is set for August 21 to 25 in Cologne, Germany. Whether that means it will have something to showcase at the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase on the event’s first day, a physical booth throughout the duration of the event, or something else entirely remains to be seen.

We can probably assume that Ubisoft will be focusing its marketing efforts on Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws at that time, especially with the latter releasing later that month itself.

Before that, Ubisoft will be hosting its annual Ubisoft Forward showcase on June 10.

As for Gamescom, it was confirmed earlier in the year that Nintendo would not be attending the event.
