THQ: Saints Row 4 Will Have Even Broader Appeal Than Saints Row: The Third

Posted By | On 01st, Jun. 2012

Last year, THQ released Saints Row: The Third, the third installment in its over the top open world series that sold millions and became the lone bright spot in an otherwise troubled year for the publishing giant. Now, we’re being teased with a fourth Saints Row game.

In one of his last interviews before he resigned from his position as THQ head honcho, Danny Bilson said that the fourth Saints Row would have an even broader appeal than the third one.

“There’s a lot of new characters and new points of view in the game. I can’t say much or I’ll get killed. But I actually think it’ll have an even broader appeal than the last one, based on the content. I’m sure we’re a year away from really talking about it, probably,” he said.

“But being involved with it, I love what they’re doing with 4. It expands the appeal of the game. It has all the stuff you love, plus more stuff you’ve never seen in any game. Well, we kind of do that with Saints Row, right?

“Every sequel has got to be better than the one before and have more value and more fun. The team is working really hard towards that right now very diligently.”

Last November, THQ started teasing the idea of a fourth Saints Row game, promising it would be ‘wilder’ than Saints Row: The Third.

We’ll keep you posted on all new of a fourth game.
