Titanfall 2 Video Shows Us Some Of The Single Player Campaign

Drop a Titan on it!

Titanfall 2 (3)

Memorably, Titanfall had no single player campaign- the multiplayer modes were all that was it. That was all well and good, but it meant that it alienated a substantial portion of its potential audience right off the bat (not to mention that it also squandered opportunities to explore its intriguing lore with a narrative). However, for Titanfall 2, it seems that Respawn are determined not to make the same mistakes again.

Titanfall is two games in one that are carefully balanced – agile Pilots and powerful Titans. This led to an interesting narrative question: what is the relationship between a Pilot and a Titan? Where can we go with that? It was from these questions that Titanfall 2’s single player campaign really began to take shape,” Respawn said in an update on their website, noting five elements that make the campaign of Titanfall 2 stand out- pacing, its existence as a full fledged single player mode independent of the multiplayer, a fully realized world, a bond between the Titan and the pilot, and multiple kinds of battle styles.

You can check out what the campaign looks like in the short video below. I think it looks promising enough to be excited for the final release in October. Let’s hope Titanfall 2 realizes the potential of the first game fully.
