Plug and play console gaming is dead. Now, we have to come home, insert the discs into the system, wait for the games to finish installing, and then download and install massive patches and updates- even on the first day itself. Yes, this is the era of the day one patch. Day one updates are often massive, often bigger than entire games were last generation.
And then there is Titanfall 2. Titanfall 2, too, will have a day one patch, like most other games on the market. But honestly, it may as well not have one- it turns out the day one patch will be miniscule. Tiny. Blink it and you’ll miss it levels of small. It’s going to be a humongous 88MB.
You’re probably going to have to clear some disc space for this one.
Titanfall 2 will be out on October 28 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Reviews for the game go live in a few hours.
