Titanfall Crosses 10 Million Players

Titanfall

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall has acquired 10 million unique players since its launch in March 2014 for the Xbox One and PC (followed by an Xbox 360 launch months later).

The sales figure was provided by co-founder Vince Zampella on Twitter. “Celebrating 10 million! Thanks to everyone, we love you all!”

This is pretty good news considering the amount of trouble and pressure that the development team went through to complete the game (Zampella and Jason West were embroiled in a lawsuit with Activision during the making of Titanfall). Though player base numbers are pretty low compared to more contemporary online games like, say, Destiny, Titanfall still has audience that continues to enjoy the game till day.

Except for the Smart Pistol. The damned Smart Pistol.

Respawn is working on a sequel to Titanfall for PS4, Xbox One and PC. What are your thoughts on the original game’s 10 million unique players? Let us know in the comments.
