Bluepoint Games’ Xbox 360 version of Titanfall turned out to be an extremely solid port when it released recently worldwide. However, it seems it will be limited strictly to a retail release as EA has confirmed no digital downloadable version for Xbox Live’s Games on Demand.

“After extensive testing, we felt that it simply did not represent the true Titanfall experience and it was decided not to release a Games on Demand version.

“As we never officially announced that Titanfall would be available via Games on Demand and the option to purchase it that way should have never been offered. We hope players understand this decision was all about quality and making sure you get the best Titanfall experience.”

So if you’ve been hoping to pick up Titanfall for the Xbox 360 through Xbox Live, you’re out of luck at this point. What could have motivated EA to take this decision? Stay tuned for more information.
