Respawn Entertainment announced that the Xbox One version of TitanFall, its upcoming multiplayer shooter, would be receiving an exclusive special controller when the game releases this March. However, according to an eagle-eyed user, the controller’s colour scheme slightly resembles a gun from Counter-Strike – namely, the M141 Asiimov.

While design-wise there are a lot of different elements, there’s no denying that one creates a very strong sense of déjà vu about the other. Was it a simple accident on the peripheral maker’s part or was it intentional – perhaps as a nod to CS players? Or is it just a commonly used futuristic palette and design for sci-fi guns and weapons?
