Titanfall

Though Respawn Entertainment has announced its intention to eventually move on from Titanfall and provide a break for its employees who have been updating the game on a monthly basis since its launch, there will be new content incoming. The developer announced its next update today in fact and revealed a new mode with Pilot Skirmish.

Pilot Skirmish is essentially an 8 vs. 8 mode with no Titans or AI bots. We’re not sure if it’s similar to Pilot Hunter but it seems that each kill will count as 4 for a score total of 300 points (as opposed to a 50 point score where each Pilot kill counts for 1 point). Other features include Marked for Death as a permanent game mode, improved matchmaking features to prevent lopsided encounters, losses no longer counting if you join a match when it’s more than half over and your team has been stomped and much more.

The next update is likely to arrive in September, with the Xbox One and PC receiving it first. Will this update encourages players to keep playing? Let us know in the comments.
