Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have no plans to release a demo to the gaming public before the game launches within the next few months. Crystal Dynamics says that they don’t want the story spoiled for the players, and that the demo would just spoil what they called a “personal story.”

“For all those @tombraider fans asking. There are no plans to release a demo of the game pre-launch. We don’t want to spoil the story,” said Crystal Dynamics global brand director Karl Stewart on Twitter.

When he was bombarded with questions about the demo, Stewart said, “We’ve weaved such an personal story we don’t believe spoiling it by having you wait a week or so to play on, delivers on our promise.”

“I talk about it a bit in our latest @tombraider Crystal Habit podcast which is due to drop tomorrow,” he concluded.

Well, that’s disappointing. Were you guys looking forward to a demo for Tomb Raider? We know we certainly were.
