You'll never see a better representation of 1940s Los Angeles anywhere as it was in this year's L.A. Noire. The car models were awesome, the streets very much true to the period setting, the people going about their daily business, and the police working exactly as it should. It was nowhere near as alive as what you would see in a GTA game, but the effort was still commendable.
