There Will Be a New Protagonist

Not much is known about the new protagonist in RE7, but we do know they’re a new addition to the franchise.This new protagonist is an everyday kind of person, not used to the horrors of fighting zombies, and not some hardened soldier.

In an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu, Koushi Nakanishi stated they wanted to bring the series back to its roots. One of the ways they’re going to do that is by introducing a new player character, like the old games used to do.
