9. Dagger of Time (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trilogy)

A dagger that can manipulate time as well as provide with brutal attacks that can hack and twist enemies in no time at all has to be one hell of a weapon. Anyone who has played even a single game from the Sands trilogy understands how powerful the weapon is. With the combined powers of the Daggers of Time and the Sands of Time, not only can we rewind time and pause it, we can also freeze enemies and slow down time. Plus, the dagger looks cool!

8. Chaoseater (Darksiders)

With a name as cool as Chaoseater, a sword is bound to be badass- especially if it is wielded by a guy as brutal as War in Darksiders. Having the look of being the embodiment of death and terror, the Chaoseater can cut through hordes of monsters and demons as a knife cuts through bread. Just have a look at the video above- the weapon is super-powerful. It can beat almost anything half to hell and back. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a Darksiders 2, so that we can get a another chance to wield the deadly Chaoseater.

7. Z-Saber (Mega Man X-Series)

So what if it’s 2-D? It is awesome nonetheless. The Z-Saber is… a saber. Well, yeah, at least we got that out of the way. But on a serious note, it is probably the most powerful energy based weapon I have ever come across in any video game. With the help of the Z-Saber, Mega Man can chop through hordes and hordes of dumb (or not) enemies, and obstacles that prevent him from moving forward. Now, only if we could have a reboot of Mega Man with the Z-Saber in it…

6. Soul Edge (Soul Calinur)

Soul Edge. The main weapon of the Soul Calibur series, making its first appearance in the game called Soul Edge, is one heck of a sword, as the image above very well demonstrates- just like most of the weapons in this list, Soul Edge looks cool. And it is cool. Why, you ask me? Because I said so. And I speak nothing but the plain and absolute truth. Yes, I speak the truth. Soul Edge is awesome, and you cannot deny that.

5. Buster Sword (Final Fantasy VII Series)

Anybody who has played even a single game in the Final Fantasy VII universe knows that the Buster Sword has an epic past. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII shed light on one of the best known weapons in the history of video games, and told us of how it came to be with whoever was its owner at that time. Being a really good looking, husky weapon and giving immense power to its wielder, the Buster Sword will always be remembered as one of the best swords in video gaming history.
