Not An Enormous Leap Over Fallout 3
And that leads us to the other big issue with Fallout 4. It’s not a huge leap over Fallout 3 in terms of quest structure or story-telling. Yes, there are numerous improvements and yes, these quests are tons of fun. VATS and the gunplay have improved tremendously and the perk system is much better. If you love Fallout 3, you’ll love Fallout 4. It’s just not the big step forward we were hoping it could be.
